Have you heard?! The girls of Outstanding Occasions, Heather Crabtree & Jennifer Thinnes, recently launched a workshop, the Outstanding Wedding Business Workshop. If you are a seasoned wedding pro or just starting out, this is THE workshop to attend. Find more information about the workshop experience here or read on for more details. Jennifer & Heather are two brilliant, business-minded women, with a tell-it-like-it-is approach, who have been coaching wedding businesses since 2010. I, personally, have had the pleasure of knowing both Heather & Jennifer from the beginning and I truly look up to both of these ladies. Their background, expertise, and true passion to help others succeed is evident in everything they do. I’m lucky enough to call Heather my sister and I’ve seen first-hand her passion to help others grow their business as she has helped me grow mine tremendously (and calls almost daily with new ideas for ME to implement). … Read More

engage!12 | round 3: videos

Heidi Moore • branding inspiration

Yeah, yeah, I know I’ve been MIA from the blog for the past few weeks (okay, months). It was always my plan to do one last post about Engage!12, so here it goes. (Yes, it was literally 2 months ago. Work with me here). We’ll make this last and final recap short and sweet. I couldn’t go without sharing with you the videos, created by the fabulous I Do Films, which recap the entire three-day event. No explanation needed as the videos say it all. Engage!12 was full of information, inspiration, and, of course, good times with good people. See for yourself… Oh, and I spy with my little eye, Rachel of Outstanding Occasions and I making our debut in the Day 1 Recap video (approximately around 2:00). Boom. engage!12 Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas – Day 1 from I Do Films on Vimeo. engage!12 Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas | Day 2 & 3 … Read More

engage!12 | round 2: takeaways

Heidi Moore • branding inspiration

Remember my round 1 post on attending engage!12 The Luxury Business Summit in Las Vegas a few weeks back? What a fabulous four days it was! Full of speakers, desserts, dancing, boy bands, new friendships, and much more! My first recap was about the fabulous surprises that showed up at every turn. This time, I’m going to touch on five key takeaways I captured from engage! that I feel EVERYONE can relate to, entrepreneur or not. 1. “Listen visually.” ~Jes Gordon Step back and soak in what you see (not only with your clients, but in your everyday life). Let your eyes do the talking. 2. “Have goals, but completely relish where you are.” ~Elizabeth Messina (not pictured) This really hit home with me. I’m one who is always saying “I need to do this, I need to do that. So much to do before I reach this goal.” But, we all need … Read More

engage!12 luxury wedding business summit | round 1: full of surprises

Heidi Moore • branding inspiration

Last week I had the pleasure of attending engage!12, The Luxury Wedding Business Summit in Las Vegas. It is a three day intensive summit full of speakers, galas, swag, tons of fun and much, much more! The masterminds behind the event are Rebecca and Kathryn of Engaging Concepts. They created the engage! events to bring together the best of the best in the luxury wedding industry to create a space to network, collaborate, and be inspired. The theme of this post: SURPRISES! engage!12 was chalk full of them. Whether in the branding, the entertainment, or the friendships I formed, surprises were all around. Being a graphic designer, I was swooning over all the branding details. Yes, there were the “in your face” surprises in simply receiving all the swag, but what I really appreciated were the nuances within the design. Take this gold bar mixology station we received upon arrival. … Read More

The People Plan by Sage Wedding Pros

Heidi Moore • branding

I met Michelle and Kelly of Sage Wedding Pros at Eventology a few years back. We instantly hit it off and I have valued both their friendship & always-thoughtful feedback ever since. Recently, these ladies asked me to collaborate with them on a new product they planned to launch, The People Plan. I started out by asking Michelle & Kelly to fill out the branding request questionnaire. From there, we exchanged a few emails and then had a Skype call to kickoff the project and discuss ideas for their new brand launch. They had their ideas, as well as I had mine, and we worked together to combine our ideas and fine tune the direction of the brand. Overall, my recommendation was to build off of their existing brand for Sage Wedding Pros, considering this product is an extension of their educational offerings. After many emails, reviews, revisions, and discussions, we landed on this … Read More

new website | graphic design studio

Heidi Moore • branding studio

Extra, extra, read all about it! Last week idieh design officially launched our brand spankin’ new website! Designing a 100% customized website to better showcase idieh design’s capabilities, along with my true personality, has been on my list for longer than I care to mention. But, don’t they say every journey begins with a single step? Well, I took my single [website] step last December, and, I must say, it was quite the journey. So, after many edits, refinements, tweaks (and, ironically, no tears) it blossomed into what you see today. Let’s just say my heart is smiling from one atrium to the next. (Did I just type that?!) Anyway… Even though I have been designing for over 6+ years (not including all those internships in college), I truly believe, up to this point in my career, that this website is the project most meaningful and fulfilling to me. I literally put my whole … Read More

emma Quist | new logo

Heidi Moore • branding

I always love when stationery clients become branding clients or vice versa. Not only does it give you a chance to learn more about that individual and their style, but it also usually leads to a lovely new friendship!  I was lucky enough to work with Lindsey on her wedding stationery, which led her to ask me to design a logo for her new business venture, emma Quist. Sophisticated. Chic. Elite. These were the words Lindsey used to describe the emma Quist brand. She knew she wanted to derive the logo from the design I created for her wedding invitations. It was a radiating sun and only seemed fitting to use as inspiration since her father calls her sunshine and they were starting this new business together. “Together, Lindsey and Craig [her father] have embarked upon a mission to create an elite haute jewelry brand that resonates with clientele of … Read More

name that color contest

Heidi Moore • branding studio

As you probably already know, idieh design underwent a rebrand a few months back. As I’ve been so excited for the new brand and have had an awesome time implementing it, whenever I need to describe the colors of the brand, I find myself using different descriptions every time.  idieh design’s brand colors are unique and I can’t seem to pinpoint how best to describe their character. Therefore, I decided, why not have a contest?! Objective: to find a fun & unique name to describe each color of the idieh design brand (shown above). If your color name is chosen for one of the brand colors, you will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card. (That means you have a chance to win THREE gift cards!) You can offer up as many names as you see fit. The more creative, the better. Just leave your suggestions below! (Or, if you prefer … Read More

introducing the new and improved…

Heidi Moore • branding studio

I am so excited to be re-introducing my company and it’s new look to the world today! Branding your company is such a tricky endeavor, and it sometimes (notice I said, sometimes, not every 3 months) needs to evolve, as you as a person are (hopefully) evolving. For me, from the day I started my business to today, I have really come to discover more and more about who I am, what I want, and how I need to get there.  I felt like my company needed to reflect those things as I changed and grew, and so this rejuvination of idieh design is very exciting for me! Recently, I made the decision to focus more of my time on idieh design, therefore scaling back in some other areas of my life to really make the direction of where I’m going to the needs of my idieh clients and its … Read More
