Spooky Treats Printable | Halloween Treat Bags

Heidi Moore • social studio

Growing up, my neighborhood fully embraced the idea of trick-or-treating. You would find house after house (many with spooky decorations and delights) with the porch lights on, anxiously awaiting all the ghosts and goblins. More specifically, the families in my neighborhood were known for not just giving out one piece of candy, but potentially a full sleeve of Reese’s cups or a small handful of treats. In other words, legit! To this day, my mom doesn’t disappoint with this tradition and manages to take it one step further. Each year she buys bags after bags of candy, along with the cute little treat bags, and creates a special package for each character that stops by. Up until I moved away, I would help her fill each treat bag with all the goods, strategically stuffing them with the ideal combination of treats. My favorite part (once I was too old to … Read More

EMMA Magazine | Summer Issue

Heidi Moore • social studio

Have you seen the new Summer issue of EMMA Magazine?! If you are new to the family, the concept behind the magazine is “if Martha were a 20-something…” It’s a magazine for city mamas, nesting newlyweds, and budding entrepreneurs. The latest  issue is overflowing with ideas for the modern domestic such as how to host your very own Americana cookout for the 4th, where to find the perfect Father’s Day gift, how to sew your very own skirt (which I plan to attempt sooner or later), and SO MUCH MORE! Go see for yourself. It’s a gem. And, if you are part of the cool kids’ club and have an iPad or tablet, go download the newly released EMMA Magazine app and check out the awesomeness right on your device. (But, I’m still a lover of print, so I prefer the printed version, too.) I figured now would be a good time to … Read More

Brain Dump Printable

Heidi Moore • social studio

UPDATE: You can get your very own Brain Dump Notepad (available in two sizes), over in my online shop. Go now!  While I was in the office last week, “that” feeling was weighing on me. You know, that overwhelming sensation when your brain is running a mile a minute and you can’t seem to focus? I found myself going from one project to the next without actually completing any task in full. I quickly decided I needed to get my thoughts out of my head and down on paper. And, what does a graphic designer do when they need a tool to capture their thoughts? They create it! Call me crazy, but I assume, and quite honestly hope, I’m not alone in this overwhelming feeling that feels as though your brain might explode any minute (KA-BOOM). Therefore, I wanted to share this lovely tool with all of you to enjoy … Read More

VALENTINE’S DAY COUPON BOOK | FREE PRINTABLE

Heidi Moore • social

It’s almost here! No, I’m not talking about President’s Day…but that’s right around the corner, too. I’m talking about VALENTINE’S DAY! I honestly don’t think I love Valentine’s Day for it’s true purpose, but rather for all the heart candy that is produced, the fun, festive red & pink color combos you see, and quite simply just the fact that the simple graphic shape of a heart is used…a LOT. Let’s cut right to the chase. This year I have me a man. (Please try to keep your gasp to a minimum.) While on the hunt for the perfect gift, (I LOVE to give gifts!), I found that nothing was really catching my eye. My sister quickly reminded me that while my love language is “Gifts” (aka I like to recieve gifts –  don’t act like you aren’t with me on this), “the boy” appreciates thoughtful gestures, spending quality time together, … Read More

The Love & Laughter Shop | NOW OPEN

Heidi Moore • social studio

EEEEK! My new online shop, The Love & Laughter Shop is now OPEN!! The day is finally here and I would be lying if I didn’t say I have a huge knot in my stomach. This shop has been something that’s been in my head for YEARS, yes years, but it was always something I talked about doing, never doing it. Finally, I was annoying myself with talking about it and not DOING it, so I changed that. (Hence, the whole one little word DO.) I took the first step and bought the domain and, as they say, the rest is history. This baby of mine (yes, I can say that since I don’t have any kids) is truly a labor of love. This shop is an extension of the idieh design brand and offers ready-made, quirky, well-designed pieces for everyone to enjoy. Why the name Love & Laughter? I … Read More

Featured | On To Baby

Exciting! idieh design is featured today on On To Baby, a blog of all things lovely for babies and moms. The feature is of the surprise baby shower I conceptualized, designed, and orchestrated for my sister, Heather, of Outstanding Occasions. It was truly a labor of love and so many friendors contributed to make it an awesome success. And, let’s be honest, it’s never easy planning a SURPRISE celebration for your sister, a wedding planner who plans events daily like it’s her job…oh wait, it is. Um, major pressure! See more photos of the baby shower here. In the end, the surprise was a huge success and Heather had NO IDEA of the celebration. London even had to deliver a few tissues her way to dry her happy tears as Heather thought we were going to the movies for a girls’ day. We even made sure she was dressed accordingly by telling her … Read More

Cute As A Button

Heidi Moore • social

Remember when I posted the Valentine’s Day mini cards as a free download to celebrate Valentine’s Day? I suggested sharing the love by leaving the cards in secret places for others to discover. Well, Jenny of Jenny J Cook Events did just that, but took it to a whole new level…a holiday brunch! Jenny chose to use the “You are as Cute as a Button” design but contacted me to see if I would be okay with changing the wording to “Kids are as Cute as a Button.” Um, yes! That particular mini card inspired her to create an intimate Valentine-themed brunch hosted by new parents, for new parents. The focus was on kiddos as the gathering allowed for a group of close friends to share stories of the adventures of parenthood over mimosas and granola cups. Meanwhile, the little ones played and snacked on toddler-friendly treats. Check out a … Read More

valentine’s day mini cards | printables

Heidi Moore • social

Who doesn’t love to relive the days when you were back in grade school and you couldn’t wait to pick out which Valentine’s card you would give to each classmate? You know, you always saved the cute ones for your besties and the super lovey ones for your biggest crush. And who can forget the fun times we all had making our little pouches that would hold all the Valentine’s we received (crossing our fingers that at the end of the day it would hold the card from our biggest crush confessing their love)?!? So, I’m takin’ it back to the old school, ’cause I’m an old fool, who’s so cool (I digress)… To celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, I designed four different mini cards for you to print out & use to your heart’s content. Use these little cards to remind those special someones in your life just how … Read More
