Sunset Inspired Wedding

I have just been dreaming of magical tangerine grazed sunsets lately. Anyone else?! Oh wait, I haven’t been dreaming, I’ve just been looking out my window and staring at the candy colored skies every night. For Danielle and Will, who are from Canada and Australia but live in London (so cool, right?!), these sunsets really are a dream! For their sunset inspired wedding stationery, we channeled the Phoenix desert-spiration to create these save-the-date and invitation pieces. I’m not quite sure how, but this set brought such warmth and brightness to each opened envelope. The pops of color amongst a neutral desert landscape was pure perfection. Much like Danielle & Will’s big day. Thank you, Danielle & Will for letting us bring your desert dream to life and to the creative team from Outstanding Occasions for the beauty of this wedding. Make sure to check out Jennifer Bowen Photography for more stunning photos! For … Read More

Gatsby Inspired Wedding Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

I love when weddings are not only a display of the bride & groom’s love for each other, but also a decadent experience for the guests. Especially, when that experience feels like a 1920s Gatsby-esque speakeasy! Every aspect of Linas & Cara’s old hollywood, Gatsby inspired wedding was soft and sweet, yet strong and confident. For their invitation suite, I used neutral colors with Frank Lloyd Wright inspired patterns as the ceremony and reception were at the Arizona Biltmore, a Wright designed hotel. These pocket programs were the perfect way for Linas & Cara to let their guests know about the important people and pieces of their ceremony. I used the same Wright-inspired pattern from the invitations for the programs, and again later on the escort cards. For their menus, I continued the Wright-inspired architectural patterns, mixed with a balance of romantic and modern text. I absolutely loved the patterns … Read More

New Year's Eve Wedding Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

You know what I love about weddings in art museums? Okay, I’ll tell you. I love that there is this immense opportunity to be creative. When you think about it, art is all about creating. Art museums bring to life the vision dancing around in the artist’s mind (for me it would be a portrait of Usher). Even better, a wedding in an art museum allows the couple to create the environment they’ve always dreamed of for their big day. The blank canvas allows for unending creativity. For Leah & Josh’s New Yea’s Eve bash, they wanted their guests to envision the confetti falling at midnight, from the minute they opened their save-the-dates through every piece of their wedding stationery. We used a black, silver, and purple color palette to create the confetti yet classy vibe of a New Year’s soiree. (When you opened the save the dates, real confetti … Read More

Earthy Modern Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

A while back, I shared the exciting news that Saskia & Mike’s art museum wedding was shared on the Knot! Ooh I just love when a couple comes to me with out of the box ideas for their modern stationery. With earthy vibes and green and orange tones, I was pumped to start creating. And can we just stop for a second and stare at the gorgeous work of art that was Saskia’s dress? I mean, she looks like a garden princess with that texture and those florals from Butterfly Petals. She was definitely the most stunning work of art at the museum that night. For the invitation suite, Saskia & Mike wanted to let their playful sides shine through so we utilized grays and oranges with sharp triangular shapes to border the invitation. For the save the dates, just tell me, who doesn’t love seeing little pups (especially when today is National Dog Day!)?! … Read More

Irish Garden Inspired Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

Wedding Stationery

Oh, I feel like I’m in an Irish dream! After Kathleen & Aaron’s Ireland engagement session with world-travelers Amy & Jordan Photography, I was psyched to design their Irish garden inspired stationery. This set called for a combination of pastel purples mixed with silvers and grays that were then paired with organic roses and an overlapping square pattern that will make you feel like you’ve gone to Ireland, with all intentions of staying forever! The wedding invitation utilized romantic fonts surrounded by open, white space. Added interest came with the back of the invite which pulled inspiration from the couple’s linens (La Tavola Fine Linen) and integrated a purple and white interlocking pattern. That pattern was then carried throughout such items as their program below. I mean, how flawlessly does this wedding program blend in with its surroundings?! I always love creating fun “extras” for my couples (insert hangover kits) and … Read More

Moroccan Inspired Wedding Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

Wedding Stationery

Pinks and purples and blues, oh my! Friends let me tell you firsthand that I LOVE having the opportunity to play with colors and designs outside of the traditional box. This Moroccan styled shoot at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia was no different. And, it was featured in Brides! I was pumped to add my own flair to this Moroccan-inspired shoot by creating the stationery suite, menu, and escort cards. I started with the invitation suite combining clean, streamlined fonts with a more organic, feather-inspired pattern. The entire suite was enclosed in a clear cellophane envelope, showcasing the feather pattern before guests opened their invitation. So rad! The suite was then finished off with a custom address label adhered to the outside. For the escort card display, each card had it’s own stand, making it more impactful and free-standing. To add even more personality, I hand-stamped a circle around … Read More

Bright Patterned Wedding Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

bright patterned wedding stationery

Oh, I just love when couples have a color palette as bright and joyful as Stephanie and Andrew! For their Sanctuary wedding, this amazing & full-of-fun couple approached me with their turquoise and fuchsia inspiration board, and immediately I knew it would be a perfect compliment to the breathtaking desert backdrop. Bright stationery for an even brighter love story. The invitation suite used bright pops of turquoise balanced out with a soft gray, utilizing san serif, modern fonts which were finished off and grounded by large amounts of white space. The patterned liner was inspired by the couples linens and I love how it added an extra dimension to the suite.   I carried the same color combinations into the programs, but I added playful icons and spacing to carry the guests throughout the night. The program was multi-purposed in that it wasn’t only the program, but also the itinerary for the entire … Read More

Eclectic Escort Cards For Saskia and Mike’s eclectic Phoenix Art Museum wedding, I knew a simple escort card display wouldn’t do. Instead, we hung the escort cards from moss filled, industrial metal bowls. We were taken back to their modern wedding day with this feature from The Knot! It was such a fun surprise to see the images from Katie Cornwell Photography alongside the execution of the always fabulous Outstanding Occasions girls, and the florals from Butterfly Petals featuring our stationery.  Make sure to check out the full feature here.

Copper & Coral Wedding Stationery // Phoenix, Arizona

copper and coral stationery

When LVL Weddings & Events asked me to create wedding stationery for their inaugural Arizona styled wedding shoot at the gorgeous Sanctuary on Camelback Resort, I was more than pumped. These ladies are seriously talented. Taking inspiration from LVL principal planner Emily’s love for Moscow Mules and exotic protea flowers, the copper and coral take in the desert for this wedding styled shoot was dressed to impress. Modern and Timeless To bring a unique twist to this desert palette, I chose a copper foil to enhance the wedding invitation suite. I hand embossed the wedding date into the copper foil, which served as a belly band wrapped around the invitation. I also included a “True Love” quote card, embellished with a copper font, and finished off the suite with a simple & sweet response card.   I carried this copper embossing throughout all of the wedding day stationery, such as this menu with a “Let’s Eat” … Read More

Ashley & Pete | Ombré Wedding Invitations

Wedding stationery is a beast of it’s own. When a designer is asked to create wedding invitations for a bride and groom, they are tasked with bringing the couple’s unique vision to life…for the most important. day. of. their. life. No pressure, right? Ashley & Pete came to me with a vision of romance fused with a soft, sweet color palette. During our initial meet-up, Ashley mentioned their floral arrangements & bridesmaid dresses would have an ombré effect and my mind was racing with excitement. What if we continue the trend into their stationery suite, too?! That’s just what we did. The suite consisted of a double thick ivory invitation, paired with a blush details card, finished off with a lilac response card that was all housed in a silver metallic envelope. There was that extra splash of sophistication with the names silver-foiled on the main invitation, the entire suite wrapped … Read More
