Pinks and purples and blues, oh my! Friends let me tell you firsthand that I LOVE having the opportunity to play with colors and designs outside of the traditional box. This Moroccan styled shoot at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia was no different. And, it was featured in Brides! I was pumped to add my own flair to this Moroccan-inspired shoot by creating the stationery suite, menu, and escort cards. I started with the invitation suite combining clean, streamlined fonts with a more organic, feather-inspired pattern. The entire suite was enclosed in a clear cellophane envelope, showcasing the feather pattern before guests opened their invitation. So rad! Oh, I just love when couples have a color palette as bright and joyful as Stephanie and Andrew! For their Sanctuary wedding, this amazing & full-of-fun couple approached me with their turquoise and fuchsia inspiration board, and immediately I knew it would be a perfect compliment to the breathtaking desert backdrop. Bright stationery for an even brighter love story. The invitation suite used bright pops of turquoise balanced out with a soft gray, utilizing san serif, modern fonts which were finished off and grounded by large amounts of white space. The patterned liner was inspired by the couples linens and I love how it added an extra dimension to the suite. I carried the same color combinations into the programs, but I added playful icons and spacing to carry the guests throughout the night. Eclectic Escort Cards For Saskia and Mike’s eclectic Phoenix Art Museum wedding, I knew a simple escort card display wouldn’t do. Instead, we hung the escort cards from moss filled, industrial metal bowls. We were taken back to their modern wedding day with this feature from The Knot! It was such a fun surprise to see the images from Katie Cornwell Photography alongside the execution of the always fabulous Outstanding Occasions girls, and the florals from Butterfly Petals featuring our stationery. When LVL Weddings & Events asked me to create wedding stationery for their inaugural Arizona styled wedding shoot at the gorgeous Sanctuary on Camelback Resort, I was more than pumped. These ladies are seriously talented. Taking inspiration from LVL principal planner Emily’s love for Moscow Mules and exotic protea flowers, the copper and coral take in the desert for this wedding styled shoot was dressed to impress. Modern and Timeless To bring a unique twist to this desert palette, I chose a copper foil to enhance the wedding invitation suite. I hand embossed the wedding date into the copper foil, which served as a belly band wrapped around the invitation. I also included a “True Love” quote card, embellished with a copper font, and finished off the suite with a simple & sweet response card. A few months ago the lovely girls of Imoni Events reached out and asked me to conceptualize and design a wedding stationery suite for their white wedding styled shoot. After asking many questions and gathering all their ideas, my mind immediately began to race. It’s always a (GOOD!) challenge when taking on a styled shoot as the options are initially endless. To add some limitations to the project, I decided on an over-sized square invite with an added punch of incorporating not only one, but TWO different fabrics. The challenge officially began with finding just the right fabric combo. After a long search, I stumbled upon a match made in heaven. Ceci and Ben were married this summer at their residence in Paradise Valley. These two were seriously too cute for words and if I could bottle up the joy and love that these two have for each other, a day wouldn’t go by that was anything less than giddy.
