#heartyoumoore
Let me just start this off by saying this was one of the very best days of my life! Being a part of the wedding industry, I get to play a special part in couple’s weddings everyday. Yet, the excitement and pure bliss I felt while planning MY OWN special day is something I will never forget. (Can we all just talk about how handsome my hubs it, too?!)
Let’s start with the most important part, right?! STATIONERY. Okay, maybe I’m a little bias.
With all of my clients I like to give an extra edge to their wedding stationery suites, so when it came time to finally design my own I had a clear vision and now it was time to execute it to the max. Naturally, I used some of my favorite colors for my color palette: a bright, vibrant magenta/fuchsia combined with the ever-so-classic black and white combo. I, then, added in a touch of seafoam to soften things up a bit.
The modern save the dates were miniature in size (they were so teeny-tiny and cute!) at just 3.5″ x 5″ and letterpressed on the front with a message from Flo Rida of “it’s going down for real.” The back was foil stamped with a magenta foil directing the guests to our website to find more details!
Next, came the modern wedding invitation suite, which was the full she-bang. I opted for a black-on-black effect using shiny matte foil to imprint all of the graphics on a rich, black stock for a tone-on-tone look. I couldn’t go without including a photo from our engagement session with Amy & Jordan Photography, so I decided to place a photo on the custom liner so it was the first thing our guests got to see. Straight out of GQ magazine, right? Okay, maybe not, but I couldn’t love this picture more. And, let’s not overlook that super fun calligraphy by Pretty Paperie. Cue excitement!
The RSVP card and checklist for the guests were implemented with fun (and dancing) in mind. While still keeping it classy, our personalities for sure shined throughout our entire wedding invitation suite with the choice of our wording. (PRO TIP: We ALWAYS encourage you to bring in your personality via your copy, if it makes sense. Even if the suite itself is traditional and classic in the design, wording is one way to make it personal and unique to YOU.)
Shake Your Tail Feathers
Following the ceremony, our guests shook it up with miniature tambourines. (Must I mentioned that they lit up and we’re the hit of the celebration!) Not only were they a great way to prep the guests for the dance floor, it was an epic way to ‘ring in’ the newly announced Mr. and Mrs. Moore as we made our way back down the aisle as husband and wife.
One of my favorite pieces though would have to be the escort card display. I put my heart (no pun intended) and soul into designing this display in a geometric heart pattern, which went along perfectly with our hashtag #heartyoumoore. (Let’s just say, this was no easy feat and took some serious planning.) The escort card display stunned all my guests all the while helping them find their seats. (Shout out to Inspired Environments who made the display come to life with their shadow boxes and beyond-gorgeous florals. SWOON.)
Throughout the remaining wedding day stationery I incorporated the same bright magenta / fuchsia, purple, and seafoam for the signature drink sign, the menus, and the dessert bar. For the table numbers, I used a simple tented black card with the numbers cut out for a classic feel. (I love how the menu served as a wrap for the napkin and really added another dimension to the overall table decor.)
I know this isn’t paper-related, but I can’t go without showing you this spread. Look at all of this yumminess!! From donuts to cotton candy, to everything in between, I couldn’t have loved the cake by Ruze Cake House & all the mini desserts by A Bakeshop any more. Like, woah. (I just wish I was quick enough that day to gobble it all for myself before my guests devoured it all.)
I can’t leave this post without screaming from the rooftops about this installation that was above our dance floor. You GUYS! Two thousand ribbons were hung and hand-tied from the ceiling with a REAL, fresh flower tied to the end of every single one. Every. Single One. That’s over 6,000 feet of ribbon in all and again, Inspired Environments was the mastermind behind it all. Let’s just stop for a moment and let that all soak in. (P.S. If you need a creative genius for your wedding day, look no further. Just go straight to Inspired Environments and they can DO. IT. ALL.)
For me, my wedding was beyond magical and I wouldn’t have traded this day for anything! It was pure perfection, stress-free, and full of love, fun, and laughter. All the while being surrounded by the man of my dreams. That’s what it’s all about, right?! Hands down, BEST DAY EVER!
